MSPs hear plea to stop neonatal units being downgraded

More than 5,000 babies born in Scotland are admitted to neonatal intensive care every year.

A campaign to save lifeline services for the most vulnerable babies in Lanarkshire has been taken to the Scottish Parliament.

MSPs heard concerns about centralising neonatal units – which would involve downgrading one at University Hospital Wishaw – and the impact it would have on patients and parents.
