MPs to vote on banning smoking for anyone born after 2008

All the devolved governments back the plan, so it will be applied in Scotland

MPs at Westminster are about to vote on landmark legislation that could ban the sale of tobacco to everyone aged 15 or younger for good – phasing out smoking completely, over time.

The law has the backing of the Scottish Government, who want to have a ban in place by April next year.

But dozens of Conservative MPs have attacked the move.
