Mortons Rolls bakery saved with production to restart

The company has been bought over by an investor after it ceased trading two weeks ago

The Glasgow bakery Mortons Rolls has been saved with production set to restart this weekend.

Around 110 of the 230 staff members who were made redundant earlier in the week will be brought back with immediate effect.

The new owner say they’ll need Scottish Government support to secure the long-term future of the business and bring more staff back to work.
