More than a quarter of children in Scotland living in poverty

New report highlights single parents as struggling the most in the cost of living crisis

There’s more grim news tonight on the cost of living crisis. The latest figures show more than a quarter of children in Scotland are now living in poverty and there are warnings that’s going to get worse.

The problem is particularly acute for single parent families – with research finding stories of “isolation, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts” among those struggling to make ends meet.
