‘More must be done’: Calls for further road safety measures after boy killed by lorry

Thomas Wong, 11, was cycling to school when he was struck by a refuse lorry in August 2024.

Parents say additional measures introduced in Cramond following the death of an 11-year-old boy are a step in the right direction – but they’d like to see more done.

Thomas Wong was knocked down while riding his bike on Whitehouse Road in 2024.

The council says it’s monitoring the situation.
