Moray mother lodges complaint over NHS pregnancy treatment

Since maternity services were downgraded at Dr Grays women must travel to Aberdeen or Inverness to give birth

A Moray mum whose baby was born with his cord wrapped around his neck wants NHS Grampian to take pregnant women’s concerns seriously.

The woman was told to travel to hospital in Aberdeen instead of being checked in Elgin, despite fears something wasn’t right when her waters broke.

She’s now lodged a complaint. The health board says patient safety is its priority.
