A couple who ran an illegal puppy farm described by animal protection officers as being on an “industrial scale” have been ordered to carry out unpaid work and banned from owning animals other than their current pet for five years.
Kilmarnock Sherrif Court heard how Stephen and Hazel Hamilton had left dogs with matted fur, rotten teeth and ear problem.
