Midlothian company developing search and rescue drone

It's capable of carrying 100kg and is cheaper to buy and maintain than a helicopter

It’s hoped a state of the art drone being designed in Midlothian could be used to do anything from supporting mountain rescues, innovating methods of farming and delivering humanitarian aid.

The flowcopter, which is unmanned and uses less than 30% of the aviation fuel used by a helicopter, is being supported by almost £1 million of Scottish enterprise funding.
