Michael Matheson quits cabinet over data roaming row

He says he did not want a row over £11,000 in roaming charges to become a 'distraction'

Michael Matheson has quit as Health Secretary, but is staying on as the Falkirk SNP MSP.

Matheson admitted lying last year saying the tablet was only used for work.

But, later said his children were watching football on it, and then agreed to foot the bill.

Critics of the First Minister Humza Yousaf say he should have sacked Mr Matheson when the scandal emerged in November.

Tonight, there’s been a reshuffle of Mr Yousaf’s “top team” in Holyrood.
