Mental health service sees 1,300 visits in first six months

It comes as new figures show that the number of CAMHS urgent referrals have increased 30%.

A new service in Tranent set up to tackle the mental health crisis facing children in Scotland has attracted around 1,300 visits in its first six months of operating.

The scheme offers support to young people in response to long waiting times to prevent problems escalating to professional intervention.
