Memorial plaque unveiled for 1940 fishing boat sinking

83 years ago all crew on board the trawler Ben Attow died after it was hit by a mine

The family of nine fishermen who lost their lives off the coast of Dundee have described the unveiling of a memorial plaque as “very special.”

Friends and family gathered in Broughty Ferry to mark the anniversary.
