Youngsters at Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Children will soon see some furry friends from the city’s zoo living within the grounds.
Plans have been announced to open a permanent meerkat enclosure at the city’s sick kids to teach children important lessons about conservation and to give a much-needed lift to young patients.
