A man waiting for surgery to reconstruct his arm and hand says he’s lost faith and trust that he’ll ever have the operation after a fifth cancellation.
Colin Fitzpatrick from Helensburgh says he’s in constant pain and fears he’ll be forgotten about amid ongoing challenges to clear the backlog in plastic surgery post-Covid.
Both the NHS board and the health secretary have apologised for the repeated cancellations but with no fixed date, the 51-year-old feels his future is on hold.
