Man living with cancer highlights healthcare ‘postcode lottery’

Kevin Weymss was only offered one NHS test after being diagnosed with liver cancer.

There’s long been a concern of a postcode lottery when it comes to healthcare.

Now a man in the Highlands is using his personal experience with cancer to highlight the disparity between care in Scotland and south of the border.

After being diagnosed with liver cancer, Kevin Weymss was only able to get one NHS-funded test to see if he was suitable for treatment. However if he was in England, he would get 12.
