Man jailed for training dogs to attack and kill other animals

John Dysart caused the domestic animals to be bitten and pulled to death in Alloa between February 2022 and September 2023.

A man who trained three dogs to attack animals, including badgers and even pet cats, has been sentenced to ten months in prison.

John Dysart from Alloa admitted the crimes after a video of an attack on a cat was shared online.

A sheriff told the 33-year-old he had shown “significant cruelty towards defenceless and protected animals”.
