She was a doctor taking a shortcut after a night out in Glasgow city centre when she was attacked and subjected to a 40-minute sexual assault by a stranger.
Today, that man, Mihai Patran, is starting a nine-year jail term, after being found guilty of sex offences, including rape, against three women in just over a month.
Branded “a dangerous man and a danger to women”, the judge said he hoped he would be deported.
