Man facing life sentence after stabbing wife to death in ‘brutal’ murder

Members of the Gambian community in Scotland have spoken of their continuing shock and sadness at the murder

A man is facing a life sentence after admitting he ‘brutally’ murdered his wife in Edinburgh last summer.

Ndatta Secka, 42, was stabbed to death by her husband Momodou Bobb, 57.

The murder happened shortly after Ndatta had come back to Edinburgh after spending three weeks in the Gambia because her mother had died.

Campaigners say more support is needed for African victims of domestic abuse in Scotland.
