Man driving the lorry that killed Emma Burke Newman admits guilt

A ghost bike placed at the scene has become somewhere to remember Emma and others who've lost their lives cycling on the city's roads.

For the last year the ghost bike on Glasgow’s busy Broomielaw has been a tribute and a warning.

A tribute to a young woman who lost her life while cycling there last January and a warning to drivers to slow down and respect cyclists on the road.

On Thursday, the man driving the lorry that killed Emma Burke Newman admitted his actions caused her death.

Her parents, were in court to hear what had happened to their daughter and the lorry driver’s admission of guilt.
