Man arrested after care fire as section of M8 closed for 12 hours

The Westbound section between Junction 28 and 30 was closed shortly before 3.00am

A 36-year old man has been arrested for road traffic offences after a car fire closed a busy section of the M8 near Glasgow Airport for 12 hours.

Police forensic teams and sniffer dogs were spotted assessing the scene as lengthy queues caused travel misery for commuters.
