Look back at the Queen’s engagements across Scotland

She opened hundreds of buildings and feats of engineering during her reign. The Clyde tunnel in 1963 and the Glasgow underground in 1979 are just a few examples.

Throughout her 70 year reign the Queen had 21,000 public engagements and for the people who were directly involved in organising the visits, it was both special and logistically challenging.

STV News spoke to some of those who met her when she came to their places of work.
