Lionesses rescued from Ukrainian zoo find new Scottish home

The sisters were taken through Poland to Belgium before finally arriving in Scotland last night.

Two lionesses rescued from a Ukrainian war zone have been welcomed into their new home at Five Sisters Zoo in West Lothian.

Luna and Plusza were evacuated after heavy bombing in Eastern Ukraine in 2022.

Their new keepers say they deserve a second chance at life.
