Libya earthquake relief appeal launched in mosques across Scotland

The death toll in Libya has risen to more than 11,000

An appeal has been launched by an Islamic Aid agency in mosques across Scotland to help those caught up in the Morocco earthquake and the extreme flooding in Libya.

The earthquake which struck Morocco’s Atlas mountains is the deadliest to hit the country in more than 60 years.

The charity Islamic Relief says donations are needed to help provide vital shelter and medicine.
