Leith’s ‘pride bridge’ under threat of demolition

The city council says it's not viable to keep it open - but campaigners say alternative routes aren't suitable

A bridge in Leith which became a symbol of inclusivity over lockdown is under threat of demolition.

The eighty-year-old structure was nicknamed the “pride bridge” after local residents teamed up to decorate it in rainbow colours.
