Leith social project helping reduce anti-social behaviour 25%

During the sessions young people play different sports and build communication skills

A project in Leith helping to prevent young people getting involved in crime has contributed to a 25% reduction in anti-social behaviour in the area.

Friday Night Lights was launched a year ago following a rise in criminal activity amongst youngsters there.

It is aimed at pre-teens to deter them being targeted by gangs, after the age of criminal responsibility in Scotland increased to 12 years old.
