The father of a Scot who died in Thailand has branded the Scottish Government’s response to his death as “shambolic”, and says a legal loophole is blocking them and hundreds of other families from getting information and closure.
Davy Cornock from Montrose was told his son David’s death did not meet the threshold for a fatal accident inquiry, as he was living in Thailand at the time.
Now families and MSPs argue a new law is the only route to justice.
