Law change rejected to protect women going through menopause

Ministers have refused to take action - in part because they think this could discriminate against men

The UK government has rejected calls to change equality laws to protect women who are going through the menopause.

A raft of reforms – including trialling ‘menopause leave’ – were recommended by a committee in Westminster.

Campaigners says it’s ‘a missed opportunity’ to try to prevent women from feeling forced out of the workplace.
