Latest instalment in ‘The James Plays’ debuts in Edinburgh

It's the fourth instalment in Rona Munro's acclaimed box-set of plays - that bring to life the lives of the kings who ruled Scotland in the 16th century.

Eight years ago, the Festival Theatre hosted the world premiere of “The James Plays” – the gripping trilogy by Scottish writer Rona Munro.

Now, the acclaimed playwright is continuing her ambitious series on Scottish history, with a new saga about power and race in the 16th Century.
