A lack of engagement with social care during the pandemic cost the lives of the most vulnerable and the workforce, the Scottish Covid-19 inquiry has heard.
Dr Donald Macaskill of Scottish Care, said politicians “followed stereotypes” and were not interested in helping, unless the NHS was involved.
It comes as a group of care home relatives described not being able to give evidence at the UK inquiry as, “a kick in the stomach.”
