Labour walks out as Glasgow City Council budget passed

Council tax is set to rise by 5% in the city and there are plans to cut £1m from cleansing services

Glasgow City Council have passed their budget plans to tackle a £50 million blackhole in the city’s finances.

Labour councillors who were meant to attend the meeting staged a walkout over the planned cutbacks.
