Ketamine ‘now rife amongst Scotland’s youth’

The UK Government is considering upgrading the drug to a Class A substance.

A recovering ketamine addict has told STV News her dependence on the drug led her to consider taking her own life – and the highly addictive and cheap substance is now rife amongst Scotland’s youth.

It’s regularly used in the NHS, but when abused, ketamine can cause serious health problems like damage to the bladder and kidneys.
