Justice system ‘institutionally racist’, Sheku Bayoh inquiry hears

One of Scotland’s most high profile lawyers has told a public inquiry he fears being killed every day after receiving abuse and death threats over his work.

Aamer Anwar was giving evidence at the inquiry into the death of Sheku Bayoh in police custody in Kirkcaldy.

Mr Anwar also said the criminal justice system is “institutionally racist.”
