Another former leader causing problems for their successor is Boris Johnson – who has tonight officially quit as an MP.
He’d been given advance notice of a report – that’s expected to be published this week – into whether he deliberately lied to parliament over “partygate.”
There’s also been a bitter row over the former Prime Minister’s failed attempt to give some of his closest friends places in the House of Lords.
It’s led to a deepening rift with the current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
