“I didn’t believe it for a minute” – that’s the view of the Scottish Secretary on Nicola Sturgeon’s often emotional evidence at the UK Covid inquiry.
Yesterday the former First Minister fought back tears and insisted she did not politicise the pandemic, but today Alister Jack said the former First Minister could, “cry out of one eye if she wanted to.”
And he accused the Scottish Government of creating different Covid rules “for the sake of it.”
He conceded he had deleted all of his pandemic WhatsApps because his phone ran out of storage space.
It’s the final day of hearings here in Scotland.
