Islanders concerned over massive solar farm plans

If approved, around 12,000 solar panels will cover a site at the top of Cumbrae

Residents on the island of Cumbrae say plans for a solar farm the size of 22 football pitches will be disastrous to the local economy and wildlife.

Energy company Comsol say they’ve consulted with the community and and the site won’t impact the beauty of the island.
