Investigation underway after largest whale stranding for a century

Experts are examine the animals to establish the cause of death

Investigations are beginning into the stranding of a pod of 77 pilot whales in Orkney.

The mammals died after being washed ashore on Sanday yesterday morning in what is believed to be the largest mass stranding in Scotland in almost a century.
