Innovative project uses creative arts to help children displaced by war

Mission of Innocents opened its doors in Edinburgh to help refugee children with art, music, movement and storytelling, feel safe again.

Mission for Innocent’s creative arts centre in Edinburgh is designed to help children who have lived through conflict and crisis feel safe again through the arts.

Launched by the charity, Mission for Innocents, the new hub uses art, music, movement and storytelling to help children who have lived through conflict and crisis to feel safe again.

The charity was founded after the Ukraine invasion and supported families given emergency accommodation on ships berthed off Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Since then the organisation has expanded across the country, now supporting children from Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and the Sudan.
