The sister of a murdered man has told STV News criminals have more rights than victims in Scotland after she ran into her brother’s killer at a funeral without being told he was back in the community. John McAvoy was sentenced to 15 years in jail for murdering Tony Blair in 2006, but in 2019 he started working in a local hotel without the family being notified.

Leslie is now calling for a change in the law and has spoken exclusively to our political reporter Laura Alderman.
