Tourism is a cornerstone of the Scottish economy contributing around £6billion in GDP every year and employing over 200,000 people.
But the sector is facing a recruitment crisis. It’s estimated one in seven hospitality jobs in Scotland are vacant, despite wages increasing. Leaders in the industry are urging the Government to do more to help beleaguered businesses.
