Hospitality sector faces ‘brutal’ outlook, says new report

70% of businesses surveyed this summer were said to be in decline or considering closure.

A dire warning has been sounded about the financial health of Scotland’s hospitality sector.

The Scottish Licensed Trade Association says 70% of businesses they’ve surveyed this summer are in decline or considering closure, and the outlook is “brutal.”

It follows the loss last month of ten Brewdog pubs in the UK, including in Dundee.
