The hospice charity, CHAS, says demand has more than doubled for its respite services in the last year, as costs continue to rise.

The programme provides crucial care for children who have life limiting conditions, and their families.

One mum, whose daughter was born with severe brain damage and was only predicted to live a matter of months, told STV News that CHAS provides support which “nobody else can”.
