Horizon victims at ‘mercy of political whims’, says former postmaster

Figures show there are 66 Scottish applicants waiting to learn whether they're eligible for compensation.

A former postmaster from Inverclyde has told STV News that victims of the faulty Horizon IT system are at the mercy of political whims.

It comes as a committee discussing the scandal in Westminster heard that there could still be more postal workers they’ve not identified who could be eligible for compensation.

Keith Macaldowie has had to re-submit a compensation claim after the legal firm dealing with the case failed to process it on time.
