Homes evacuated after fire-damaged tenement collapses

The building on Glasgow's Albert Drive was first gutted in a fire in 2020.

Residents in Glasgow’s southside say a fire-damaged building should have been demolished a long time before it eventually collapsed on Friday.

Homes were evacuated over the weekend following the incident on Albert Drive.

The tenement was first gutted in a fire in 2020 and those living nearby say it has been a danger to the community ever since.
