Holyrood U-turns on wood-burning stoves restrictions

It comes after concerns were raised that the ban would impact people living in rural areas.

The Scottish Government has dropped restrictions on the installation of wood-burning stoves in newbuild homes or conversions.

In a U-turn decision by ministers, wood-burners, bioenergy, and peat heating will now be allowed after rules banning them were initially introduced earlier this year.
