Holyrood calls for drugs to be decriminalised for personal use

A Downing Street spokesperson says the UK Government has no plans to change it's stance on drugs

The Scottish Government has called on the UK Government to decriminalise all drugs for personal use.

Scotland’s Drug Minister believes the “ambitious and radical proposals” would save lives.

The proposals also demand “immediate legislative changes” to introduce safer drug consumption facilities. Downing Street immediately dismissed this call, saying the UK Government has no plans to alter its “tough stance” on drugs.
