Holyrood accused of poor flood planning after Storm Babet

Much of the North East was hit by Storm Babet either by high winds of heavy rain

The Scottish Government’s planning for flooding has been ‘found wanting’.

That’s the accusation from opposition politicians as they debated the country’s preparedness for future floods – following the devastation caused by Storm Babet.

But the Scottish Government says it’ll support those impacted by the extreme weather, and is taking measures to protect vulnerable communities.
