The Highland Council region is the worst local authority area in Scotland when it comes to public services such as roads and education, according to a new survey.
The study, by The Sunday Times, looked at 29 of Scotland’s councils and highlighted performance in areas such as pupil literacy and recycling.
Highland Council has been approached for comment but has not responded.
