Highland Council back green port to stem youth drain

Planners highlighted a startling figure of 2,500 young people currently leaving the region each year

Highland Council has backed a multi-billion pound venture that promises to tackle both de-population and global warming.

It’s hoped 16,000 jobs, created by the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Port will help reverse the trend.
