Highland Clearances site to become home of new forest

The Applecross community took over the Torgarve Forest in 2021.

An area of Wester Ross, where two villages were wiped out during the Highland Clearances, will be the site of a new forest.

The Applecross community took over the Torgarve Forest in 2021.

Now, the first trees have been planted as part of a broadleaf woodland for the good of the community.
