Health secretary apologises to NHS Grampian patients

It comes after a critical incident at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary which saw ambulances diverted to other hospitals.

The health secretary has apologised to NHS Grampian patients as the health board struggles to cope with increasing demand.

Neil Gray MSP says the Scottish Government is committed to supporting the board after a record yearly spending high, which was expected to amount to almost £70m over budget.

It comes after a critical incident was declared at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in November which saw ambulances diverted to other hospitals.
