Health board apologises after admitting opening hospital too early

They accepted infections of some child cancer patients were probably linked to the water system at the QEUH.

Scotland’s biggest health board has apologised to those affected by failings at Glasgow’s super-hospital, as it admits it was opened too early and was not ready.

In the final submission to the Scottish hospitals inquiry, lawyers also confirmed NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has changed its position to accept that the infections of some child cancer patients were probably linked to the water system at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus.
